Privacy Policy

ZYM is a gym-management platform built by FunctionX Technologies, used by independent gyms and multi-location chains to run memberships, classes, payments, and the ZYM member app. This policy explains what the ZYM app and platform collect, why, and how it’s handled.

1. Information we collect

  • Account info — name, email, phone number, profile photo.
  • Identity verification — Aadhaar number and a photo/PDF of your Aadhaar document, collected only with your explicit consent, used solely to verify membership identity.
  • Location — precise or approximate location, only when you use “Find a gym”, to show nearby locations.
  • Payment info — handled directly by Razorpay, our payment processor. We do not store your card or bank details.
  • Health & fitness — daily step counts, read via Android Health Connect or on-device sensors, to power your activity tracking.
  • Content you create — community posts, comments, and messages you send to the AI Coach.
  • Device info — a push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver reminders and updates to your device.

2. How we use it

To operate your membership, process payments, schedule and confirm classes, track your activity, power the AI Coach, run the community feed, and send you relevant notifications (payment reminders, plan expiry, gym announcements).

3. Third parties we share data with

  • Razorpay (payment processing)
  • Google / Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notification delivery)
  • Google Health Connect (on-device only — steps data is read, not sent to Google)

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward as required for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 6).

5. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored using industry-standard safeguards. Access to identity-verification data is restricted to what verification requires.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting servicetech@functionxtechnologies.com. Deleting your account removes your profile, Aadhaar documents, and community content, subject to Section 4.

7. Children

ZYM is intended for gym members aged 16 and older and is not directed at children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when this policy changes, and notify you in-app for material changes.
